Day 100 - Transitioning to Next Phase of Prentus

Posted by Rod Danan | Dec 01, 2020

It's been an eye-opening 100 days. I know what I got to do next and look forward to sharing the rest of the journey on my new YouTube channel at https://youtu.be/tpkAwWItXXA

The energy I came into the week with is wild. Like I got an electric shock to my system. I set clear ass goals on my whiteboard for the month to keep everything in focus.

Sales is the biggest focus with my goal being set for closing $100k in sales by the end of February. Ways I am going about that with the salesperson, meeting setting services, and my own efforts. Need to get users to determine the viability of the platform and improve it before they are too deep on the new version.

Onboarding went well with the new hire and squeezed in day 2 into today which means they will be ready to rock sooner. One concern is the lack of questions that came up for them during onboarding. I am giving them the benefit of the doubt that they are the type that needs to digest things and then come back with questions.

Then for the meeting setting services, I started talking to a possible agent and they asked for some things I didn’t have like case studies. Salespeople usually have so many specifics that I honestly did not realize previously. We will see if I end up working with this person or another service.

In the afternoon, the first task I started making time for daily was engaging on social media. Again, it is mainly Twitter and LinkedIn I am using for this but it's important for future growth to be consistent on this.

Then, I got to filming the product walkthrough on the business side. It took a few takes and there some minor product fixes I pushed as I went. It ended up taking a few hours to get the final version. In the end, it got uploaded. I realized that product tour software might be a worthwhile investment but want to wait until after I set up product analytics. That will be a task for tomorrow or Wednesday.

A task that also took time today was setting up Calendly properly for a team. I thought it was simpler than it turned out. Also, with all the zaps I have set up with my Calendly, I had a lot of testing to do to make sure things were still working.

It’s a transition day as I end the 100 Days of Startup challenge. That’s picture-perfect as I go full throttle to the distribution part of the startup journey. I’ll continue to post weekly updates on my personal channel each week so make sure you are subscribed here. Until Friday for now.
